Held Momentarily Logo_square 72dpi-01.jpg

Trapped in the bowels of the New York City subway system, six strangers discover it’s not just the train that’s stuck. An outrageous musical ride about opening up and learning to love the journey. Oh, and one more thing: a woman just went into labor.

Held Momentarily played a twice-extended run at the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and an extended run at the 2014 NY Fringe Festival and Off-Broadway Fringe "Encore" Series. The cast included Jordan Barrow (Broadway's Sousatzka) and India Carney (NBC's The Voice), along with friends from my alma mater, LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. In 2021 Held Momentarily received a zoom production by London’s Royal Academy of Music.

I wrote book, music & lyrics for Held Momentarily and developed it with Hunter Bird, with additional material by Hunter Bird and James Zebooker.

“EVERYTHING”

India Carney (Finalist on NBC's The Voice) plays Asherah, a bag lady who lives on the subway.
